Behind the Workshop Door. CFSS provide excellent support and posture management, systems are manufactured from a range of foam densities which result in excellent pressure relief and weight distribution for the client. From our network of seating clinics which we run throughout Ireland our moulding technicians using the latest scanning technology, captures the impression from the moulding bags used during the scanning process and this scan is then sent to our manufacturing facility in Grange Co Sligo.LC Seating has in the past 18 months invested heavily in an upgrade in its manufacturing workshop and the hiring of additional staff. The investment has helped us to greatly improve on our delivery times and expand the range of complex seating solutions
Hello, my name is Joseph Iani – Emo and I have received the latest batch of orders from Marie Therese our production manager and am in the process of assembling the foam blocks prior to machining.
While assembling the blocks I need to consider the different grades of foam that will be required to give a higher level of pressure relief and comfort. The size of the assembled block can vary in depending on whether it is the seat or the back or if it is a paediatric or adult system.
After preparing the foam block I place it into our routing machine and the shape is then cut into the block of foam. The machining program is generated from the client’s original scan
Additional finer surface finishing may be required for additional comfort. This is the initial part of the process complete and I will prepare the system for transport to one of our Clinic staff to carry out a Midfit of the system to finalise any additional pressure relief that may be required, positioning of belts and harnessing and selection of cover colours.
The system has now returned from our clinic and the final elements of the process have been carried out in the workshop, waterproofing, machining of the vent holes for additional comfort, strap positioning and the positioning of a Roho Cushion in the seat of the cushion for additional pressure relief.
The next step of the process I have now placed the system in its frame in this case the client requires an aluminium shell, but we can also have plastic shells which interfacing can also be added to without any difficulty. I have also received the covers back from our customised covers makers and I think you will agree they look well when applied on the seat.
